This job offers you a monthly salary of up to €6.200, depending on your knowledge and experience.

This is not a mediocre job. You will have to be an expert in different fields where you will work in areas becoming more critical to NN: IT and client loyalty. Moreover, we are investing in an omnichannel strategy to reach our clients positively. Both our innovative channels, where we focus on personal interactive videos, and our old-school physical mail or e-mails should be on target and faultless. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be working on IT solutions that will help to create a positive perception for our clients. You track the latest technological and market trends and perceive these as opportunities to improve client interaction.

Furthermore, you are more than just a software developer. Nevertheless, you play an essential role in the complete process of idea o problem to implementation of the IT solution. Of course, you will not be doing any of this on your own. A multidisciplinary DevOps team of colleagues will support you in your day-to-day tasks. In an agile way of working, you will achieve the best results and connect NN with the consumer, stakeholders, and the rest of the world.

Your responsibilities

• You develop and manage communication and campaigns to create our clients' ultimate 'WOW' experience with our IT solutions.

• We accomplish this with the help of Angular, Java(script), and Python in an Azure environment.

• The goal is to help improve the brand appearance of our labels. Not only Nationale-Nederland, but in addition, this will be ING Verzekeren, ABN Amro Verzekeren, SNS Verzekeren, Movir, BeFrank, etc.

• Together with the team, you will continuously improve the communication solutions to cater to our customers' changing communications needs.

• Closely following market trends and technical possibilities to translate this into actual applications which add value for our clients and stakeholders.

• Sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues to endlessly improve as a team.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• More than 3 years of experience in software development in Angular or Java
• Experience in Python and Azure is an advantage
• Experience with the scrum way of working is an advantage
• Immensely curious about the technological trends within the market and the drive to apply these to help improve existing solutions or to create new opportunities

Your colleagues

You will be working in a Group IT department; nevertheless, looking at the broad work field, you will be networking with different colleagues within NN-Group. Your team consists of 9 enthusiastic DevOps Engineers/colleagues. They all come with their expertise, which varies from development to infra-knowledge. When combining knowledge and expertise, the team creates an indispensable foundation for the process-controlled communication of NN based on the agile method.

You work independently and will have much freedom: you decide on your daily priorities and labor agreements with your team. This gives space for a healthy share of entrepreneurship, creativity, and bright ideas.

It is hard work; however, the team's spirit will not suffer because of this. As a matter of fact: we reflect as the most fun team of Group IT! You will meet your colleagues daily in an informal way during the daily stand-up and other scrum ceremonies. Besides, there is time reserved for (virtual) team drinks. At NN we work hybrid. We combine working from home and working in the office. Teams can meet online or in person. You and your team agree on what suits you best. We have set up our offices, so there is a suitable place for every type of work. The official location for this job is Rotterdam. As Full Stack Engineer you are based in our office next to Rotterdam Central station, above the Nationale-Nederlanden DE Café. The café is an ideal spot for a good cup of coffee.
